First Time Rider Information

Harbor Transit provides curb to curb bus transportation service to thousands of riders in the City of Grand Haven, the Village of Spring Lake, the City of Ferrysburg, Grand Haven Township, and now those living in Spring Lake Township. Here is how you access the service when ever you need it.

In order to ensure the on time service you expect from us we ask that you keep the following in mind:

  • For any scheduled appointment you might have such as to the doctor’s office, hair salon, or to work all us 24-hours in advance to make sure we get you on the ride list.

  • Calling us at the last minute may cause a delay in getting to you, the more advance notice you can give us the better service we can provide.

  • To help avoid a long wait for the bus you should stay away from the peak hours of  7 AM to 9 AM and 3 PM to to 5 PM during the week especially on schools days.

  • A Rider Profile Form needs to be filled out prior to your initial ride with us which will cut down on the time it takes to schedule any future transportation needs you might have.
