Moved by Roger White and supported by Carol Soule, to approve the minutes of the May 20, 2015 meeting. Motion carried.

  1. General Business/Call to Audience

None.

  1. General Business:

Review of January – October 2015 Ridership Numbers

Tom Manderscheid presented the latest ridership information citing that the numbers are approximately 2% higher than last year at this time. Lower ridership for Coast Guard Saturday 2015 and no summer school transportation were factors in this low percentage.

Purchase and Delivery of Alternative Fuel Buses

Tom Manderscheid reported that the delivery date for the 26’ LP bus has been re-scheduled for December, 2015. Another bus will be ordered in January of 2016, but it has not been determined if it will be powered by LP or gasoline. Anthony Dionise reported that the propane fuel contract has been approved for another year and that the price per gallon has dropped from $1.58 to $1.05. This will be a significant savings to the fleet of five buses and two trolleys.

         Ride To Work Initiative

(I was busy watching for the bus to arrive when this was talked about).

Computer-Aided Dispatch System Demonstration

The Committee members were transported to the Harbor Transit Operations Center to view the Dispatch office and to witness the operation of the software and hardware. The meeting then moved to the Driver’s Room for any questions from the Committee members.

Committee Member Input On Customer Service Delivery

(I missed part of this discussion)

Carol Soule asked if Robinson Township was a possibility for service. Tom Manderscheid responded that Robinson Township did not want to pay the millage for the service.

Karen Flannigan said she’s heard positive comments about the new software.

Nancy Nielsen asked about Sunday transportation service having extended hours.

  1. Old Business:

  1. Director Report:

Purchase and Delivery of Alternative Fuel Buses

Covered under “General Business”.
