Providing public transportation to Northwest Ottawa County since 1975.
Harbor Transit started in 1975 ago as a small Dial-A-Ride service with just four vans and a 10-square-mile service area. As community members started using our public transportation service, Harbor Transit gained popularity and was able to expand. In 2012, we shifted from the old DART service and established Harbor Transit Multi-Modal Transit System.
Our Mission
Harbor Transit will provide high quality transportation service that is safe, efficient, and cost effective, delivered by dedicated employees in a professional manner while addressing the diverse mobility needs of all residents within our service territory.
We’re Dedicated to Exceptional Service
Harbor Transit serves a 55-square-mile area with a fleet of 29 accessible vehicles. We transport thousands of riders a year in Northwest Ottawa County, including the City of Ferrysburg, City of Grand Haven, Grand Haven Township, Village of Spring Lake, and Spring Lake Township, plus service extension points at Trinity Health Center at the Lakes (Norton Shores) and the Ottawa County Fillmore Campus (West Olive).
