Year-Round Transportation in Northwest Ottawa County
Harbor Transit is the curb-to-curb transportation service serving the City of Ferrysburg, City of Grand Haven, Grand Haven Township, Village of Spring Lake, and Spring Lake Township. In addition to our on-demand ride services offered year-round, we provide the Lakeshore Trolley service each summer, helping visitors and year-round residents alike get where they need to go. Harbor Transit’s entire fleet is ADA friendly with either a lift or a ramp on every vehicle.
Transit
On-Demand
Harbor Transit’s primary service is providing curb-to-curb transportation for in Northwest Ottawa County. Our service area covers 55 square miles, including the City of Ferrysburg, City of Grand Haven, Grand Haven Township, Village of Spring Lake, and Spring Lake Township, plus service extension points at Trinity Health Center at the Lakes (Norton Shores) and the Ottawa County Fillmore Campus (West Olive). Harbor Transit is here to help you get where you need to go, whether that’s work, school, a doctor’s appointment or even to the theatre or grocery store.
Fillmore Campus
Harbor Transit is launched a two-year pilot program, beginning on July 1, 2026, to extend service to the Ottawa County Fillmore Campus in West Olive, improving access for individuals who do not have reliable ways to reach critical appointments and government services. For the first six months of the program, Harbor Transit will offer free rides to and from the Fillmore Campus, through December 31, 2026.
Lakeshore Trolley
Deviated Route
The Lakeshore Trolley is in operation all summer long in the Tri-Cities. With stops in Ferrysburg, downtown Grand Haven, Spring Lake, and Pomona Park in Fruitport, the Lakeshore Trolley brings you on a tour of locals’ favorite places, from the beach to ice cream shops to the Tri-Cities Historical Museum. The Lakeshore Trolley is a great activity for people of all ages!
Recurring Rides
Standing Orders
Do you need rides to the same location, at the same time each day/week/month? A Recurring Ride Series (Standing Order) might be the right solution for you! Scheduling a Recurring Ride Series is an easy way to set up your regular rides to work, dialysis and other medical appointments, school, and more.
Service Extension Points
Harbor Transit has two service extension points, which are locations outside of Harbor Transit's regular service area, that serve as a pick-up or drop-off point for Harbor Transit riders.
1. Norton Shores - Trinity Health Medical Center - Lakes Village
Harbor Transit can bring passengers to Trinity Health Lakes Village (formerly Mercy at The Lakes) located at 6401 Prairie St. #1400, Norton Shores, MI, where they can access care at Trinity Health and the Muskegon Area Transit System. Please note that this service is only available during Harbor Transit and MATS service hours.
2. West Olive - Ottawa County Fillmore Campus
Harbor Transit can bring passengers to the Ottawa County Fillmore Campus located at 12220 Fillmore St, West Olive, MI 49460, where they can access numerous services, including the newly located Veterans Services, Family Justice Center, Clerk's office, and more. Please note that this service is only available during Harbor Transit's regular service hours. To schedule a ride to the Fillmore Campus, simply call Harbor Transit at 616-842-3200 to work with a dispatcher, or schedule your own ride in the Lakeshore Go app.
Coast Guard Park-N-Ride
Enjoy Coast Guard Festival fun without the stress of parking in downtown Grand Haven. Every year Harbor Transit runs regular on-demand services for those wishing to enjoy the festival stress-free.
